Get Paula Begoun's Book "Don't Go Shopping For Hair Care Products Without Me". You don't have to purchase it, go to the library. READ it! She gives some excellence advice about hair care products. Here's a link to her web site.
Listen, bleached hair is DRY. It just needs some extra "tender LOVING" care. If you LOVE the color please do some research before you dump something DARK on your hair.
If you want to get your hair to Dark Blonde, the best way to do it, is to add lowlights for a few visits to break up the demarcation, then stop "lowlighting", and let it grow.

Last time I tried to stop bleaching I colored it brown, it turned out gray, I had to bleach it again to get rid of the gray. Does anyone know how to color bleached hair and it turn out normal? One thing I forgot to mention is that I have very red undertones But I'd rather have red hair than gray!!!! I can't afford to go to a stylist to get it done. Please Help....
Doing any kind of chemical service such as a perm, color, etc pulls the moisture out of your hair strand and if it's overprocessed it can get tangled and very hard to comb thru. Deep conditioning is the best way to help combat this. If you can afford to buy professional products purchase L'ANZA's 5 Step Deep Conditioning Treatment or find a salon that offers that service....it could cost you $20 - $25 but it's well worth it to Deep Condition your hair with it. It improves the condition of dry, overprocessed hair to a healthy state and then with normal conditioning every other day you can maintain the health of the hair.
Now you say your hair is bleach blonde? If you are goin from a lighter color to a darker color you would do a process called a "TINT BACK" if the color you are going two is 2 shades or levels darker than the current color of your lightest hair. Now depending on the desired color blonde, brown, dark brown or black is the type of filler you would need to use in your hair before putting the color thru your hair.
Filler puts back in the underlying pigment into the hair strand that bleaching strips out of your hair.
If your bleach blonde and going to the following you would fill with....
Gold if you are going to a darker blonde 2 levels darker than what you have.
Copper if you are going to a brown that is 2 levels darker than what you have
Red if you are going to a dark brown, black that is 2 levels darker than what you have
If you want to go to brown and you have blonde hair and you don't fill that hair strand with a Copper filler to add the underlying pigment back into the hair strand and just apply the color you will end up with orange hair......this is why you need to use a filler.
As for your color problems it really helps to be able to see your hair and the condition. There is alot more to hair coloring than buying a box at a retail store, putting it in your hair ahd p00f perfect color. It doesn't work that way. You are not a professional, you need to fully understand the laws of color to get good results. Sorry but I'm not going into detail about the laws of color. If you can't afford to goto a salon, goto a cosmetology school and have it fixed using professional products such as Goldwell at a fraction of the cost you'd pay in a salon. The professional color lines really do make a big difference from the boxed stuff in a drug store. If you don't know what your doing you could seriously damage your hair to the point that breakage at or near the scalp occurs. Then your gonna be looking for a much shorter haircut than you bargained for.

I hope someone can help me... I have bleached hair and i am tired
of it. Not really of the color but how damaged it is. So I
am trying to go back to my normal color which is dark blond without
having to let it grow out and look like crap. I have a
professional job and my hair needs to look decent. Last time I
tried to stop bleaching I colored it brown, it turned out gray, I had
to bleach it again to get rid of the gray. Does anyone know how
to color bleached hair and it turn out normal? One thing I forgot
to mention is that I have very red undertones But I'd rather have
red hair than gray!!!! I can't afford to go to a stylist to get
it done. Please Help....
