I agree with always_alone. Just go to a hair stylist and they'll know to what degree you need to relax your hair.

Well, you need a chemical relaxer that isn't as strong as for african american women. Also maybe let it air dry? I mean you're sitting there rubbing the hell out of it...and it isn't long hair at all. Of course it will go poof.

I suggest you might try a little "Calm that Frizz" styling cream by Aussie. In my opinion it does not make your hair greasy and it usually helps to keep it from getting frizzy if it is humid out. And of course you will put some in when your hair is somewhat damp...I would not towel dry since that will rub it all out....but you can towl dry a little before putting it in. Enough to get rid of 50% of the moisture.

If your hair is as tough to style as you say it is, I think you should begin by shampooing less often. Try doing it every two days if possible (but continue to condition everyday). Also, I don't know if this is a good idea or not, but you can try to get your hair chemically relaxed. If you don't already know what that is, it is what African-American women use to straighten their naturally curly hair. Hmm, maybe someone can confirm if this is a good idea or not. Good luck.

First off, I'm skinny as hell. 106 lbs on a good day.

As for my hair, it's everything you don't want. Thick, coarse, frizzy, dry, wavy, brown and hard to do any style with. My hair stylist says it's harder for him to cut my hair than most women.

I use: Dove Intense Moisturizing Shamppoo and Conditioner. Conditioner every day, and Shampoo every other. And once a week use Neutrogena Deep Hair Recovery Mask. Then 30 minutes after a shower and a towel dry, it becomes frizzy. It looks incredible with water in it, but when I towel dry it, it looks crappy. So when I put gel (LA Looks, Curl Life), or pomade in the morning, it doesn't look good throughout the day. I've tried spiking it, and it doesn't work. It would be nice to spike it, but I think I can't.

I wish I could buzz it off. I had it buzzed off last year, but it didn't look so good. Only received compliments from 2 people, the rest were negative. I think me being underweight is what made it look really bad.

I get tons of compliments on my blue eyes. My hair is what drives me nutz, and I think takes away from the incredible assests I have on my face.

What hairstyle, gels, shampoos and conditioners would you suggest?
