yeah grow ya hair out for about 5-6weeks, brush more on da top and sides than the bak. When u grow ya hair out like brush2spin said around the 4 or 5 week, depending how fast ya hair grows, start combing ya hair for 5-10mins, then do ur method. While in da shower brush ya hair if u want or during da day put water on 1 section of ya head and brush it for 10mins, then repeat on da other four sections of ya head, 1 section at a time, then durag it. one more thing when growing ya hair also get a trim cut jus to make ya hair look neat while growing it out, dont get a cut if u want to continue to grow ur hair out.
