yeaa i want my hair like the gotttis i spike it all up but still not as good as theirs

how long should i grow out my hair?
do i have to cut the middle of hair so that it short but keep the sides long?
whats a good gel/wax/glue to use?
you know me as a pro, respect me as a vet.
i put it down befo`, but u aint seen nuthin yet..
