du-rag can leave deep lines on y ahead i u tie it to tight
stocking caps leave lines too but no as deep, and they can also not hold ya hair down as good as a durag
so make ya choice my dude, experiment wit them to find ya rite answer one day wit a du-rag, the other day a stocking cap

use watever u wanna, i used 2 use a du rag, it held ma hair down (but wen i woke up, da du rag was everywhere, hence messin up ma hair) but wit da knitted stockin cap, it held ma hair down nicely and was in da same position when i woke up. Regrdless they both do there jobs
