Thanks! I'm really happy with the site...It really is all coming together finally. I could not have done it without your help, and the help of many on this board like Amm, Tangles, Amanda and many more...
I hope that I will soon have some valuable input to share with you all instead of just benefiting from your expertise! I would like to be able to give something back! Ha,ha! If anyone is considering adding permanent make-up to their menu of services, I would be more than happy to help educate etc. anyway I can....just ask!
I'm going to add a "VIP" program for hair extensions at my salon....the details will be on my site and I will keep you all posted as to how it goes if you are interested in doing something like this at your salons....
I use a processing company called Telecheck and every month I email them my client list and account info and they withdraw the funds and deposit them into my account. They do charge for this but it is so worth it! I can easily add hair extension customers to this list as well....

I have many of my tanning clients on EFT...it works really well. They pay an "enrollment" fee upfront and then a monthly automatic withdrawal from either a checking account or credit card. So essentially if they close their account, I can stop their tanning package without being out any money.
For the hair extensions, I think I will charge upfront for the first install, then split the rest of the year into 9 equal payments. This way, I will always be "paid up" and they can quit if they wish. I already have several clients who are very interested in this savings because they know they want hair always! I want to make it fun and give lots of benefits like tanning and product discounts etc...
I think that sounds like a good idea. How would you do the electronic withdrals? Also, what if you had them set up on the EFTs and then they closed their account?
My thoughts are that I would offer up to 20% off of installation only to those clients who will be re-installing their extensions every 3 months. For example, within a 12 month period of time, they would get 4 installations(removals as well) to use. This would either be paid for all up front, or through an automatic electronic funds transfer program. This would represent significant savings for those clients who will be keeping up on their extensions. I would also give other "perks" for becoming a member like some free products, discounted tanning etc. What do you think?
Good to see you posting! Hope you had a nice Xmas!
As for my health, I'm doing mostly pretty good. I still have a degree of numbness over pretty much my whole body, but it's just a minor annoyance and not too troublesome. I'm waiting to see a specialist at the UCSF MS Center in San Francisco because the dr. I saw in Sacramento was a jerk.
Anyway, I think that Charlene does extensions on some kind of a membership plan, so hopefully she can jump in here and give you the details!
Hi there...I've been lurking here for months and truly appreciate all of the information and expertise I have gained from this site.
I particularly want to acknowledge Metalgirl as she is my mentor, an absolute professional at what she does, and a terrific human being as well. I had the pleasure of trading services with her and enjoyed a few days in California with her this past Fall. She is beyond knowledgeable and has been willing to share her 15 + years' worth of expertise with me and I am truly grateful. My prayers continue to be with her as she courageously faces her recent diagnosis of MS.
On to my question....do any of you have a "membership" program for those clients who continuously maintain extensions? If so, how does it work? What sort of discounts do you give etc? Thanks for your input....
