Well, a #4 buzzcut is usually 1/2 inch all the way around.

the smaller the number, the shorter the hair, basically.

#3 = 3/8 of an inch

#2 = 1/4 of an inch

#1 = 1/8 of an inch

most guys that get buzzcuts get the back and sides shorter than the top (usually, say #4 on top and #2 on the sides), then have the barber/stylist blend the two together.

Hey everyone, I have a question about the different kinds of buzzcuts that are offered. I usually get what is referred to as a #4 buzzcut but I was curious what the other variations were. Any pictures/examples of them would be appreciated. Thanks!
