i dont know, i think so, the salon just says tint, but isnt blonde lighter than orange? and you cant tint to make things lighter...so i just cant see how they can do it

Yeah I did the same.  If you're hair is as dark as brown or black, and you either bleach or strip the colour out, you are always left with orangey/brassy tones.  To get rid of that orange you need to dye over with an ash tone or something with a blue base, or if you want it blonde you need to keep bleaching and toning...but I'd leave that up to the professionals.

What do you mean by tint?  Do you just mean dye?

well, its currently dark brown, (dyed) because i tried to lighten it ages ago, and half of it turned orange...( well my roots b/c i had it black)

but i just dont see how tint can make orange blonder, is it true?

The darker the hair goes the more orangey and reddy the contributing pigment in it is.  So once the colour is stripped they need to do something with it.  I don't know the science behind actual bleach on tint, I'd wait for someone else to inform you about that.

well i've heard many say " you cant tint on tint or bleach on tint"

so when i went to the hairdressers and they put a colour stripper on my hair and it turned bright orange, once again i got those assuring words.

but im confused can they make orange blonder my tinting it, wouldnt even a dark blonde have lighter tones than orange?

need help with this very much
