QuoteReplyTopic: great lengths-any ash-blond? Posted: January 06 2006 at 4:09pm
hi guys! thank you for the answers... I think I misformulated a little. the lightblond is not the problem, 19 is the color. what I can´t really find is an ashy lightbrown or darkblond. there is a ring (also on the homepage), but I always mistake the colors and then notice it too warm when it already is on. just wondered, if any of you know a color...
@ metalgirl
puuh, I already wrote a long thread and it got lost... I live in Bonn, former capital, near to Cologne (former West). I love Europe although I don´t think Germany is for people who aren´t originally from there. people are a little dry, I believe it´s hard to adapt. my dad lives in LA and I had spent a couple years in school there. I think the biggest differences are in the mentality of the people, but it took me years to put down what exactly the differences are...

I'm pretty sure Great Lengths has a color called "19". Ask your hair dresser -- it's an ash-ey blonde. But I agree with gsmilie - GL DEFINITELY has color rings -- and about a zillion blondes (that's what they really pride themselves on) -- spending all that $$ you should definitely be getting an exact match!!
I think most hair extension companies just don't produce ashy colors. It makes it hard, because not all clients want warm colors in the hair. I, for one, can not wear warm colors in my hair at all. I usually end up coloring all my own extension hair to tone down the warmth.
So where do you live in Germany? I have always wanted to visit there. My mom's side of my family is German. What's it like where you live?
I`m going to get extensions for the third time in Germany. I will stick with great lengths because that´s what my trusted hairdresser does. I have had a problem with the colors so far. Naturally I have darkblond hair with an ash-tone. I highlight the hair with platinum blond. Now it seems I can never find a darkblond and a lightbrown color which doesn´t seem to warm (with a red tone instead if an ash-town). does any of you guys who do great lengths have a suggestion? I would be so thankful!
