Yes, the shea butter is white. Does that make it any less efficient?
Unrefined shea butter has more nutrients in it. By refining it some of the nutrients are bleached out. Here is where I got mine, they also provide a lot of information here. http://nasabb.com/nasabbnew/factssheablack.htm

I was reading an article about shea butter just yesterday. They say that there are different levels of refining it, when I saw a picture of shea butter is was pure yellow. The shea butter you have is less refined than mine, that is for sure.
thanks for the information . i am planning to buy the real thing from a site that people say is the best .

Just curious, what kind of shea butter do you have? Is it refined or unrefined? I have unrefined and I always rub it in my hands until it melts, it takes very little to get the job done. I use maybe a pea sized amt.

Thank you very much. I really like this shea butter it seems sooo
moisturizing which is exactly what my hair needs, I do feel like I
still need a little more however. :(

With that shea butter I always rub my hands together until its completely melted like, WomanlyCharmed stated, but dont use to much because since you have to 'melt' it anyways a small amount goes a long way persay.
Hello everyone! :D
I just recently purchased some 100% pure shea butter and I used it on
my ends last night before I did my braid out. I was wondering if
anyone else who has used this product noticed any stickiness when it
comes to coming the hair out? The ends were sticky and caused me
to comb some of my hair out. Should I have let the shea butter
melt in my hands more before I applied it to my ends? Thank you
for listening everyone. God Bless!
