Amm--did you do the pinch braid there also..or just loose hair and your hair under the melted bond?

That's the pro-shrinks and you do not need pre-tipped bonds. Here's a demo showing how they hold: http://talk.hairboutique.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=35270 &KW=pinchbraid+shrinkies&TPN=1

Here's an install I did that's grown out a lot. None of the shrinkies slipped or fell out and they needed no additional glue or hair tips where the glue melted underneath the tubing.

Hey!

I am a newbie to all of this too and just recently did my first shrinkies install.

If you go to Shrinkies.net the skrinkies that they sell are adhesive lined on the inside.  I think that this is the one you are referring to when you say they don't need pretipped hair.  I however, did pretip my hair before installing the shrinkies so I could avoid excess shedding.  I myself am not sure on how well they would hold without pretipped hair.  You would have to ask someone who has personally tried that.  I was however, very satisfied with them.

If you go to Kristins store, Yourhairshop.com, she sells shrinkies that are not adhesive lined.  I just ordered some from her the other day for my next install.  You would want to use pretipped hair and from what I hear, her's work very well.

Hope this helps you out in some way!  It is all very confusing at first!
