Growth with a Weave

I can really say that I have MAJOR growth from wearing weaves (sewn in). What I think that help with me growing my hair out is that I took care of it while in a weave, I kept a weave for like 2 months, took out, washed and deep conditioned and re-weaved...I have been doing that for like I think 1.5-2 years constantly (with occasional braids but I took them out like a week later and went back to my weaves) and my hair has GROWN like crazy (proof is in my fotki albums if anyone wants to see ).

I used a lot of products I guess to see what worked and dont work, for itching I used light sulfur 8, and my regular products goes from ORS Oilve oil, Parnavu T-tree leave in and scalp therapy, 100% natural shea butter, natural oils like almond, carrot, lavender, aloe , etc.. wow a lot to be honest LOL. (which is something that you will have to find out what works best for you) But I focus on my scalp while in weaves, huhmmm I used minimum heat on my hair that I left out, I didnt use a relaxer during that time either..But I think thats about it though that I can think of. HTH

hey all, its been awhile but im back with yet another topic 2 get some feedback. Has any1 here had successful growth while wearing a weave? I know I have but I want to get faster growth while wearing it at the same time. Im thinking of adding an oil mix to my hair (real hair that is braided underneath) to help in the growth process and moisturize it at the same time. So what do you think is the best way to go about doing this or best product to use with a weave? Let me know ladies
