I've used this technique in the past for a night out or a quick fix. You just stick off the weft?

To be honest the best method I've found is simply washing. If I'm to be completely honest I have a pick as well to loosen it. There isn't a fat lot to remove this glue as it's ultra stringy and tacky so I'd say just keep washing and gently pull at the glue so as not to damage your own hair.

It won't last long.

Im assuming it is probably latex glue. The best way to get out latex is with an oily type remover. Anything oily will work. Most removers for latex are mainly made of mineral oil. Ive also heard of vegetable oil...baby oil...anything oily! Or another thing is conditioner.

You really have to work it in and keep rubbing it in with your fingers. It takes some time and patience and will get really gooey and gross. And you might have to wash and repeat a couple of times. Use a comb to help gently comb out the loose bits...but dont pull, if they arent loose let the oil soak in more.

I think proclaim (makes latex glue) also makes a bond remover shampoo to help with removal also....not positive on that one

Try asking on the extensions forum here (go to Forum Jump at the bottoms of this page and choose "Hair Extensions" - the people there will have more experience with this question).  Welcome to the forums, and good luck with that glue!

hiya just thought that i would post amessage here as ppl have reccommend to do this first. wel i have dark brown hair at the moment and its about 2 inches below my shoulders, its really thick and no hairdresser that i have been to can thinen my hair. it takes me ages to dry and not only that it has got waves in it so then i straighten it! i had hair extensions in my hair over christmas that my mate put in for me. it was an easy process putting them in just cut to size then glue in, but now i have taken them out i have still got all the glue in my hair, there is a glue remover but ppl have told me that it goes really sticky and even harder to get out. mine is already sticy and i dont want to make it any worse has anyone got any ideas of me getting this horrible stuff out of my hair?
