Thanks so much Rebekah (love your name).
A girlfriend and I were discussing (she too is blonde like myself) the fact that our family members like our hair the way it is and don't want us to change it; and you know our color is fine. I guess that when you get to our age (42yo) we want something different than we've had our whole lives...just for a change. She wants to go warm brown, me red .
I like your suggestion and will be purchasing the colors tomorrow. I've heard GREAT things about Wella Demi-permanent color charm. Does anyone use this product? Or does anyone recommend some other semi/demi permanent coloring for the task at hand?
Thanks...Soccer Mom

Try some lowlighting to blend the blonde with the red for a few times (4 times maybe), then go all red at the roots. Good luck!
By the way, I LOVE the color you have now!!!!!

Hi Everyone, I'm new here and very glad I found this board. I am 'tired' of my blonde hair. I was a beautician student many years ago and have never had my hair done by a professional. I am naturally blonde but as I've gotten older my hair is getting darker and *now* grey hairs are starting to pop up throughout. In the photo below... I had colored my hair with Walmart purchased Feria, I did two different shades and basically focus on my roots and comb through to the ends in the last ten minutes. You can see my roots and that I am now a dirty-blonde with ash tones. I once used a temporary strawberry red color that was very flattering to my complexion & everyone just loved it. I want to do this again and am considering the Wella Color Charm Demi Permanent color and then perhaps some blonde highlights throughout. If anyone has any suggestions to make this a smooth transition from Blonde to red, I would greatly appreciate it.
