I wet the towel with hot water, wring it out and then wrap it around my head -- works great; other people put a damp towel in the microwave. I prefer my way.
I know what supply place you're talking about. They DO have GREAT deals!
oo thanks for the info. ill be sure to look for that kpac thing especially cuz ive been seeing that thru out the boards. i got it at a local "beauty supply" store... so if you have any of those where they sell more of the salon type products (matrix, kiwi, redken, nioxxin) all those kinds....they should have it...
i personally didn't even see the package. i brought both products to the counter & the lady was nice enough to point out to me that i could get both for an even cheaper cost than the price of just one. so that was cool of her.
i didn't think of just putting on the towel while taking my shower. i guess thatd be the smart thing to do, to keep the towel hot. this last time when i did the whole conditioning thing i just kept putting water back on it. haha.
ohh and about the sebastian package... i tried it last night, and my hair felt GREAT! i think its SUCH a great deal for 13 bucks.

I hate to recommend anything else since you just bought some new stuff! I would just say to use a protein conditioner and a moisturizing one -- do separately or mix. I mix. I like Kerastase masks and Joico Kpac but they're real expensive -- try eBay. I have all kinds of stuff in all price ranges. I don't really think it matters too much what you use as long as you do a "deep" conditioning at least once a week. Use a hot towel over the conditioner -- I don't know if you already do that. While the towel is on, just do your other stuff you do in the shower, and rinse your hair last. Does your hair comb out easily? I would also use a leave-in to make sure it does.
hey thanks for all the input guys!! yeah i got my hair done at the end of december...the girl @ the salon said that i can get it lighter the 2nd time around... but im waiting a couple more weeks to go back so i can let my hair "rest"... & get it as conditioned as possible so i can have less damage as possible when i get it lighter.
anyone recommend any hair treatments to do so?? i just bought the sebastian's love potion #9 & penetraitt... TRYTO LOOK OUT FOR IT! they had it on sale for only 15 bucks... you get both of those bottles and the #9 is a bigger bottle than the one sold by itself. if u get those separate they are like 13~ish bucks each. so its a steal. ohh, ANDDD it comes with the cap thing.
well anyway, ill take pix of my hair again after i go back to the salon.
so yeah, if you have any recommendations on hair treatments/conditioning, let me know!! <333

I'm with everyone else on this.Your hair is very dark and it just needed to bleached longer. On the plus side, the color looks really cool.I love the caramel streaks through your dark hair. You shouldnt have to bleach much more since blonde always looks lighter next to dark hair.Once my sister got light ash blonde highlights over her dark brown base. And they looked like grey/white hairs cause her hair was so dark in comparison.Good luck

Dark hair takes a lot of bleaching to get really pale, and even then it's hard to get the reddish tint out of it (the lightest I've ever gotten was a strawberry blonde :-P ). The fact you're going to a professional is good, though, as you'll be able to get it more even. (Very hard to get it even by yourself, I know by personal experience!) You can also maybe ask them about toning to cut the brassiness, and treatments to keep it as healthy-looking as possible, since there's a lot of damage involved in bleaching so light.
More awesome than a manatee!

My hair tend to come out brassy too. It's naturally black and I had highlights recently that are about the same level as yours minus the brassiness. The guy who did my hair toned it after he bleached so that might have made the difference.
Mine was bleached pale yellow when I did blue. It got really damaged but then again I also didn't take care of it like I should have.

If you want it Pale Yellow, bleach it longer...looks like you've only bleached to gold...By the way, pale yellow on black hair tends to really do some damage. Good luck!
so i haven't dyed my hair in forever cuz i wanted to go get it done in the salon so it can come out really really light blonde...
BUTTTTTTTTT it came out brassy!! anyone know why this would happen, or has this happened to anyone? heres a pic of how it came out. im used to it now...but i still wanna go back to get it lighter.
so what do you guys think happened??? im gonna go to sallys right now to get some protein treatments... so when i go back, it wont break.
