Cost of professional extensions

Woo Hoo! I checked out your website the other day. Thanks so much for
the information. I had no idea even what ballpark I would be looking at.
I'm going to give these pro tac thingies a good try and if I can't make
them work to my satisfaction you'll be hearing from me!

I'm an extension newbie who is getting really excited about the prospect
of not having to live with my stupid hair any longer. I'm getting ready for
my first Pro Tac install but am concerned by how fussy I am that this
method might not be a good long-term option for me.

I've been reading this Forum for a while, and keep hearing numbers
quoted for professional extensions that run between $1000 and $2000
every three months. I'm certainly not questioning the value of the
product or services. I'm exploring my options for what I might be willing
to pay over a long period of time to have good quality extensions
professionally done and maintained. I am fortunate to live in Southern
California, nearby to several of the great extensionists who post on this
board, and would only allow someone with top-notch skills to get near
my hair with extensions.

My question is if I would be likely to have to pay in the $1000+ range
every three months to keep up professional extensions? I can get my
mind around $500 or even a bit more, especially because I've learned to
do my own color, manicures and pedicures, and save a lot in personal
care expenses this way. $1000, maybe, if this includes maintenance of
the extensions.

I understand that the professionals here aren't giving quotes on their
prices. I was just wondering a ball-park idea of what a person can spend
to have decent and well-maintained extensions.
