I wouldn't because the chemicals will more than likely get on your relaxed hair and really damage it.  To do a curly perm you have to roll up the hair on small rods and saturate each rod in the liquid perm solution, so you would have to have all your hair rolled up on the rods including the relaxed part and that would not be good.  Just warning you, the possibility of suffering severe breakage or hair loss is very high if you try this.

Once your relaxer is grown out it will be ok though.  Black hair can do curly perms.  Remember back in the day when people had "Jeri curls".....it's the same process.

Thanks hon.  Well, first let me understand why you are transitioning.  Is it so you can have your hair be it's natural texture or are you looking to put a curly perm in it?  If you are going to put a curly perm in it you will need to grow all of the relaxed hair out first or you will risk serious breakage.  I'm not quite sure what you mean by the regular relaxing process.  My suggestion would be to either grow your hair out by gradually trimming the relaxed hair off and be natural or relax your hair again.  Don't do two different chemicals such as a curly perm and a relaxer on one head because it's way to damaging.

I don't know the outcome but I wouldn't use it.  Some of the perm may get onto your already relaxed hair and yes it will break off if that happens.  You could have big problems.

What exactly are you transitioing for? Is it to become natural or to add a curly perm to the new growth?

It's a chemical, so I wouldn't use it.
