Ok, thanks cmesweet. I really like it because I don't feel like I need to use a conditioner afterwards like other protein treatments but I think I might keep conditioning afterwards just so my hair will have a different scent because the Motions really dosen't smell that good to me. I mean it dosen't stink but it's just not a great smell, it smells like Play Doh. I get childhood flashbacks whenever I sniff it, lol.
O sorry... you must mean the White conditioner...no that doesn't smell great at all but it does make the hair feel good. I prefer the African Herb conditioner, plus I like the scent and it's thicker.
Oh, there's another one! Yeah, I got the white one. I'm gonna have to check the African Herb one out now. Lord, I don't need anymore conditioners.

ohh ok ,, so u have true split ends,, girl u need to just leave them alone!!!and wait till u get a pair of scissors and trim a tiny bit above the split and stop that ripping!!,,, imo, the split ends are better than the weak spots that im suffering from becuz these weak spots can be anywhere on the hair shaft and when i see them i feel awful,, but when i see a split end i simply trim that little bit off,, anyway the trims are important, and honestly even people with straight and not dry hair still get split ends and have to get trims so dont feel bad,, your hair is very long and almost anyone with hair past maybe chin length will begin to show some split ends ,, just keep em moisturized and trim teeny bits off every now and then and STOP RIPPING! lol
Lol. I promise I will try to stop ripping . I had a lot of those weak spots when my hair was relaxed but I rarely see them now. I bet once all your relaxed hair is gone they will be gone too. Thanks for the advise.

To anyone that uses CPR....do you always use a moisturizing conditioner afterwards? I always do but with the CPR I don't feel like I need one after, it's the only protein treatment that has made my hair feel like that.
I haven't used Motions CPR in a long time. However, I plan on starting back, I would use it right after the shampoo as a regular conditioner and my hair felt fine with that. So if you don't feel to follow with a moisturizing conditioner, I would agree with you.

Take small sections of hair and carefully twist them in a gentle downward motion.
Any split ends will automatically stick out.
Carefully snip into the twist with sharp scissors. Don’t cut right through; just cut into the thickness to remove the damaged cuticles and give a natural layered effect.
Be careful to cut roughly the same amount from each twist. Remember, sometimes the simplest, and least expensive, ideas are the best. So get trimming!

I use to be notorius for this lol I would get a pair of scissors and cut every split I saw! But it started to drive me crazy and I think it made my hair uneven lol so I have stopped. I use Aphoghee to help stop the splits...I have not had any problems using this product at all. It does not make my hair hard or brittle..it makes it feel strong. Right now I am due for a trim

LOL Pokahantas, ur killing me,, im crazy about those pesky ends too,, i seek them out like a hound dog for blood ,, but when u say u rip off the split end u must mean those ends that are actually breaks in the hair rather than splits at the tip,, i get these all over the place but dont get alot of true "split ends" oddly! these breaks towards the end of the hair are called trichorrexis nodosa( think i spelled that wrong) its a weak spot ,, i find some rarely higher up the shaft and that really kills me becuz i ust rip off an inch or more from that point since i know itll break anyway GRR anyhoo,, i remember one day sitting under the light at the salon and i noticed so many that i became depressed ,, i just kept ripping and ripping and though i was gonna have short hair so i took the drastic measure lol of using Emergencee and it reallly really reduced this issue(along with getting those terribly damaage ends off),, i use Emergencee ir a diff reconstructor every single week and my hair is so much healthier,, i cant believe i was too timid to try one..............
Lol. No, I actually rip off the ones that are just split at the ends but I have some of those weak spots you're talking about also. I need to stop ripping because I'm ripping off more hair than is actually damaged. I get depressed when I see a lot too because it makes me wonder where I went wrong. I'm going to try to do more "seek and destroy's" because I've been slacking on those.
I'm really gonna have to try that Emergencee. Wal-Mart has started carrying the Nexxus line but I didn't see Emergencee. I just recently used Motions CPR and I really love that. To anyone that uses CPR....do you always use a moisturizing conditioner afterwards? I always do but with the CPR I don't feel like I need one after, it's the only protein treatment that has made my hair feel like that.

Yes i think I get them from pesky hair knots. I try to dust them off but I keep finding them. Maybe its just how my hair does, I don't want to keep cutting I end up bald doing that.

I get mine trimmed only about twice a year, but I kinda "spot trim" myself.
Hair type: who knows?
Length: 23 inches as of 3/10/06
MY HAIR IS OFFICIALLY BRA STRAP LENGTH!!
Goal: Waist Length, which is only 30 inches so
ADVISE ME ON HOW TO GET JUST 7 MORE INCHES OF GROWTH!

Boy do I hate those little devils! , lol. It seems like no matter what I do, I always see some split ends somewhere. Since joining hair boards it has dramatically improved though.....but still annoyingly present. Do you ladies suffer from split ends? If so, what do you do to improve them? I'm just curious to see if anyone else has this problem.
I keep my hair trimmed (a dusting every 2 or 3 months, trying to go longer), I also do "seek and destroy's" where I go section by section and look at each hair for splits and clip the individual hair. That sounds so obsessive. I also keep my ends well moisturized with moisturizers and oils. I have a bad habit though....if I'm out in public and I see a split end I will stop in mid conversation, grab the hair and rip the split off. I know, go ahead and laugh cuz I am. People must think I'm crazy, lol.
How often do you ladies trim, and how much do you trim off? Do you put anything special on your ends that helps? TIA
