I don't see that with DW's hair that conditioners alleviate dryness. They make ends easier to detangle, that's all, IMO. Winters are so tough! (LOL) It can't hurt to try an oil treatment for your ends.
BTW, I agree with you in another thread that short haircuts are usually aging (after 35, anyway). There is no better beauty favor that *most* women can do for themselves than growing their hair out long and lush, IMO. I hope you decide to keep long hair. Since you didn't enjoy it in your younger years, it's likely you'll be very disappointed this time around. I wish you well.
Another BTW, DW's more than half way through her 40's now, and she has glorious hip-length hair. But yes, it's been a rough winter, with sweaters and cold winds wreaking havoc! Blessings, Bob
Hi Ragdoll, have you tried adding a second conditioner? Usually, Suave or White Rain is not moisturizing enough to be used alone on dry hair. Maybe you can pair Suave or White Rain with a new conditioner such as the Garnier Fructis you mentioned: wash, light conditioner, normal conditioner.
My hair is shoulder length. It is also very thick and dry and it has natural curly. I wash my hair very day with Suave or White rain or whatever I have in the house. I feel it is not giving me the moisture it needs. I use the normal hair type thinking that might help. I leave my conditioner in for 5 minutes like my stylist told me to. I do not blow dry it unless I am getting it cut or a trim.I like it to dry naturally. I do not put it up in a poytail until it is all dry. Does anybody have any suggestion on what to use on my hair? My best friend suggested that I us Griener Fruitus shampoo. I hope I am spelling the shampoo right. She gave me a sample to use. She is not a hairdresser.I last got my hair color was almost 3 years ago.
