I think that some of my bonds are a little soft after the coloring but I can handle that...I'll just replace them with silicone-lined micro-rings should they fall out. (none have so far). I think that if I use it again for this reason I will use just the clear and avoid the bonds!
I just wanted to let those who are worried because they have a stock of Lush hair that tangled up and they are unsure whether to try it again...don't give up hope! After this treatment my lush hair feels like new again (maybe even better)!
Here is what I did:
OK, so my Lush hair has been getting tangled easily, less than the last 2 installs, but still enough for me to worry whether I could keep it in for another week (I am on day 15). I was contemplating a new color for my next extension install when I came across a discussion about Clairol Radiance Color Gloss. I had seen this product before at Sally's but never gave it much thought since I am using permanant haircolor on my hair now and the Clairol Radiance Color Gloss is considered a demi or long-lasting semi-permanant color. I just thought... gloss... that's what I need... glossy smoother hair.
I went to Sally's and decided to get some of the color gloss to put a little red in my hair (my hair is currently a #6) but I didn't want to add too much and didn't want it to turn out dark. So, I mixed half of the color with the clear color they have and added the necessary amount of the developer or "infuser" and left it on my hair for about 10 minutes.
As soon as I began to rinse the color out of my hair I could tell that my hair felt different, it had fewer tangles than after a shampoo. I combed through some L'Oreal Nature's Therapy Mega Moisture Nurturing Creme and left it on for about 2 minutes while I finished showering. After towel drying my hair I had ZERO tangling when I combed through the hair!
So, I don't know whether it was the color gloss, the conditioner or both but this is different hair from what I woke up with! We'll see how long it works for; but right now my hair feels and looks incredible (and the little red that was added looks good too)!!
All it cost me was $10 and even if the effects only last a week or so, it was definately worth it!
