Cool!

My last install was 8oz of 18" & 20" hair. Because I had 18" dark (on the bottom) and 20" light on the top I had to get a good seamless blend for it to look decent. I just used the hot razor again a couple days ago and razored away about 2oz. I am no master at this but this time I have to admit that it looks like I just stepped out of the salon. :)

OK just got mine today delivered via priority mail (thanks Amm)!  Of course I went straight to trying it out on every family member (well only a little bit, lol)!

I am not experienced with a razor at all but this tool does cut the hair easier with less "pulling" and the hair feels good after the cut!

I like my new toy!

just wanted to let u know- last nite i did a full install, i used my razor to blend and shape- let me tell you, this thing is AWESOME!!! it glided down her long Mane and when i was done, i felt like kissing this razor, it was way hott so opted not too, plus client would of really thought i lost my mind. she even commented how nice it was!. i will post pics this week.

if you havent gotten it yet, its a MUST for All extentionist.

once you use this, you will NEVER use a regular razor again, and i have 4 razors i use on a regular basis!!! (besides 3 sissors, and three texturizers!)

this is now my NEW best friend!

My stylist uses the heat razor on my extension hair, and I haven't had any
split ends.

I think it works the same as a cauterizing (sp?) scalpel that surgeons use
nowadays... it's not really a scalpel with a blade like everyone thinks they
use, it's actually uses heat to cut, and in the process the heat seals off the
blood vessels so you have less bleeding. So I think they're using the
same technique, or at least marketing, here with the heat razor for hair.

Dang!  I ordered it yesterday...before I asked what it was like!   Oh, well it looked so cool and I like new toys too... can't wait to try it out.  I guess like a lot of "toys" people buy I am hoping this will make me better at razoring, lol!

hi-

i bought one at the hair show- i LOVE it- it works great. i have done razor cuts forever and most extensions i use a razor and this so far works real fast and smooth.

mine didnt say u cant use it for 10 mins and then shut it- sometimes a haircut takes more then 10 mins- lol

i actually have had mine on for about 1 hr- then i realized when i grabbed it- Yes its gets HOTT!!!

i like new gadgets and my clients think its cool. it works very nice. i would totally reccommend anyone to get it. and Amms prices are the BEST, i paid a bit more, but i wanted it Now and glad i did. the adapter is big, i like Amms idea about a smaller adapter, i might try it- i have it at work plugged under my station so no one sees it.

The reason they're the lowest price you've ever seen on my site is because they're not worth the $129 (or close to that) that I've seen elsewhere.

The thing itself? Eh. It doesn't blow my skirt up. It makes this cool soft humming noise and it's sleek and silver and very classy looking. The AC adapter is bulky and I had trouble keeping it in the socket. I had to squeeze the prongs together for a tighter fit and it stayed in then. If you have smaller AC adapters around the house, the razor has the standard connection size to the unit so you can use a smaller one if you have it.

I used it and I don't wield the thing with much skill, most likely because I'm not professionally trained in the art of hair cutting.

I think it works best on uncoated hair as I took a layer of the silicone off some strands that I had freshly installed. The blade definitely gets hot (the handle is comfortable and cool in the hands) and if it really is "sealing" the hair, I don't know. That is the manufacturer's claim, though.

You're not supposed to run the unit nonstop for more than 10 minutes without turning it off and letting it cool down. Once it does, turn it back on and start again.

If you purchase it after reading this, write "Hair Talk" in the comments of your order and starting today I'll kick back another 10% off. The note has to be in the order itself because I'm in the same boat as Kristin with the overloaded email so don't follow up in a separate note.

Did I forget anything?

edit: Looking forward to a pro's review on it as well. Here's the link to the movie of it in action:

i think its juts the same as a normal razor but the hot ness of it seals the ends of the hair preventing splits like u get with a normal razor
