Hi oops,

You should have got it done in a salon. your hair would  need to be pre pigmented, because of the hi-lights. This is when a semi colour should have been applied to the hi- lights before you applied the brown. I would advice a good conditioning treatment, wash your hair apply conditioning tratment leave on your hair as long as possible , up to an hour, wrap a towel around your head for added heat. then go to your hairdresser see if they can sort it without cutting it. good luck.

Yeah dont bleach it.  If anything, wait a while to get your hair in a healthier state and then go to the salon for a consultation.

DON'T DO IT! Breakage could occur as it sounds like your hair is already overprocessed from your description. Goto a professional and have it professionally fixed. It's worth the money!
