But she doesn't want to go blonde, she wants to go light brown. I'd say go to a salon. :)

girl.. i dont even have natural black hair.. mine was only really dark brown and that one hi lift product did nothing but add more color to my hair which then made it even harder to bleach out. save your money for reals, bleach is the only way it helped me.

yeah, i`ve seen those around. i`ve also seen the "hi-left" ones that are made from Garnier. i`m curious to know whether anyone who has natural black hair has tried any of the hi-lift hair colors and has actually had success.

Loreal' I think makes a dye (OTC) that is suppose to lighten your dark hair to a lighter brown. Of course it does use some kind of lightening agent but I bet it would work much better than a whole bleaching kit thing. Here is a picture of it. I wish I had it when I dyed my hair blonde from my dark brown. I think it would have been a better idea then the whole bleachign thing.

It suppose to lift your hair three shades lighter.

To lighten your hair to brown from natural black, bleach is the only solution really.

Right now, my (natural) hair color is black and it`s been black for quite some time now. I want a change, and I want to go brown. Do I have any other alternatives or any other ways to get the color I want without bleaching?? My hair does experience some breakage and my texture is fairly coarse. So I don`t know what else I can do . Please help!
