Tinkerbell, you could try doing an internet search for photos of a girl called Gina Akers, she was on a reality TV show set in a beauty salon (called "The Salon" on Channel 4 in the UK). While she was on the show (about 18 months ago), she dyed her hair quite a cool blonde and black, which really popularised that trend.

Trophywife - Thank you for liking my idea, I wasn't sure if some people would think it looked "trashy" because of the whole contrast. And thank you for the advice about the razoring, I'll remember that for sure.
august29th2005 - I've been to that photobucket before, and although there are a lot of awesome hairstyles in there, I didn't really find what I was looking for...a lot of them have the streaks on top as well, whereas I just want them underneath. Thank you though for offering that, it's really good to look on for ideas.

That sounds like it will look brilliant. Good luck finding some pictures, they will definitely help the hairdresser to understand exactly what you want and therefore less chance of a disaster. I bet it'll look fantastic.
Just one word of warning - fine hair doesn't usually respond well to razoring so personally I would steer clear of that. Sometimes it can be difficult to get a good "choppy" effect with fine hair too. You could experiment with hair mud and wax (before you get it cut - or after) to see whether you can create an emo/punky look that you like with your hair type.

My hair is about the middle of my back, and it's just plain, fine, and straight with really long layers...so basically that equals boring..lol. Anyways, it's black already, and I wanted to put a different colour of chunky streaks underneath my hair. I was thinking along the lines of a really, really light blonde, but I can't find any good pictures of long hair with that kind of colouring. I also wanted to find a hairstyle that was like really razered and choppy...emoish/punk hairstyle if you will...even though I hate to say that..lol. Buttt I still really want to keep my length. I've looked on so many sites but can't really find anything. So anyones help in finding some pics or giving ideas would be very much appreciated!! Thank you!!
