After reading that....

I notice there are a lot of black hair sites that feature all kind of extension methods. A lot of them focus on braids, waves, and weaves. Which is cool, because those methods dominate.

What I'm looking for, more specifically, are loose-strand extension styles, and which other celebs have extensions.

OK -- Granted, celebs are not exactly hair experts or anything, but their hair people know how to maximize the appearance of the extension hair. When I finish with my install, I want to pick out a good, cleverly layered cut, that can easily be swept up into various different versatile hairstyles.

(I'm an actress and I usually have no insight regarding whatever the people on set want my hair to look like. I'm in Baton Rouge/ New Orleans doing relief work/filming and was cautioned to not show up for relief work looking too "Hollywood"... Does that sound like a Mike Brown FEMA email to you? I'm enjoying helping people here in Louisiana, they're great, but my agents basically have control over my looks, as they want me to work, and I want to get paid.)
If time travel were possible, everyone would keep going back to that one GREAT hair day!

I'll second what Kalika said. More women wear extensions than you realize! Practically ALL black women do something with hair to their heads from short to long and all types of styles. They actually invented most of the classic extension techniques like sew ins and whatnot so in their world it's kind of a given. But lots and lots of white and hispanic women wear them here in CA, only a lot of them don't want to admit it (like they don't admit to plastic surgery: oh, so your boobs just grew like that over the summer? And you're 30?).

Plus like Kalika said, there are stylists who can style a full head of extensions into anything you want. So don't just look at those silly celebrities for style advice.

I dont even know how to anwser that.

I too live in baton rouge, so if you ever wanna see my hair just PM me (although Im on vacation right now).  And you'd be amazed how many women in that city have extensions.  You can do pretty much any hairstyle with extensions that you can without, its just a matter of pinning and parting.  Theres a shop called "unique creations" that has hairstylests who can cut and style a head full of extensions if need be.

Not sure exactly what sort of styles you're looking for, but I like looking at
Boogiemama's portfolio, lots of variety of styles in there, use the tabs at the
bottom right to look at the other pages:

HELP! I'm ont he eve of my install and I can't seem to find any hairstyles that work with extensions.

Outside of Paris, Chrsitina Aguilera, and Jessica Simpson, are there any non-blond/non pop-tars with extensions and nice locks? If so, wehre can I find photos of their hairstyles?

I'm in Baton Rouge gearning up for Mardi Gras next Tuesday, then, back to Los Angeles for some filmy-to-do/family/friend time. I need my hair to look damn good! HELP!
