I think PH sell pre-bonded. But how Metalgirl said, wave/curl falls out over time. So you will need to curl it with hot rollers. My natural hair is body wave to large curls, so I did have to curl PH to match my hair. But once I did, it lasted me all day, even in rain.
Yeah you can get some curly synthetic hair in funky colours. I know Jason Paul in London has them and maybe plasitkhaar?? Jason pauls is not pre-bonded though but im sure someone said that plastikhaar do? Can anyone elaborate?
I love all the plastik haar colors too. But remember, that hair is synthetic and can only be curled with hot rollers. Also, I think the wave/curl falls out over time, so it may not be the best choice for a naturally curly haired person. Although it's cheap and pretty, so it might be worth a try.
I tried pink body wave pretipped hair from dr.locks and hairpece.com. (Dr. locks have better pink color), but they both bleed, it was not so pink after a few washes.
I think plastic haar is so much better, if you want funky colors. Their pink is beautiful and it lasts. I had some pinchbraided in my hair, I had no damage and I was very happy with it.
they do make curly extensions, i install them all the time. the nice thing about having curly/wavy hair and or installing the same, you can wear it straight, or dyfuse it and have it all wavy. My hair is naturally curly, i wear it straight for the most part, but when i am lazy i dyfuse it(or air dry) and it has a great curl to it.
I'm just wondering, if I do get straight extensions, would they be able to withstand constant curling, or is that not advisable for actual extensions but only for clip ins? I'd much rather get proper extensions put in my hair than clips, but the person I have found to do my extensions won't do curly ones.
Also, she wants to braid them into my hair. I have heard that hair extensions sometimes go wrong and people are in pain for ages afterwards, is braiding a rather safe choice?
i do not know how to the stylist do it. but if you just want a few colorful extensions.you can use some chip hair. i know some clip weft is short,and can have the color you want. the preglued and micro ring hair also could have the color, they are fasciolar,you can put some color in your hair .
I would say you should probably get extensions that match your curly texture. In the funky colors, curly extensions can be hard to find, but I'm sure there's some out there.
Not all hairdressers do extensions. It takes a special personality to deal with such a tedious process.
As for cost, it depends on how many extensions you are wanting. If you just want a few colorful pieces, then it shouldn't be more than $100, and probably way less than that. For a full head of extensions, it can cost anywhere from $500-2000+. Really depends on the method and the stylist.
If you are just wanting a few colorful extensions, I'd look into clip in ones. Now the fact that you need curly ones does complicated the matter, since I don't recall many places selling curly extensions in the funky colors.
So here's what I'd recommend: Kristen at www.yourhairshop.com sells clip in extensions in the funky colors. I'd buy some of those, and then curl the hair to match your texture. For example, my natural hair is straight, but sometimes I like to wear wavy extensions. So I have a 3 prong waver (I bought it at Sally's Beauty supply) and I would wave my straight hair with that so it would blend in with the wavy extensions. It's not difficult at all.
I'm completely new here and this is my fisrt post s I hope this is ok. I need some help with hair extensions. I've got thick, long, curly black hair and I want to have some pink and blue and possibly green hair extensions put in. I was just wondering, will the extensions be ok on my hair as it is curly? And do all hairdressers do extensions or only particluar ones? And how much am I looking to spend here?
