I agree with what BeautyWitch said. (Especially the moisture part.)
BTW, nice to see you over here too BeautyWitch.
Aw Man!!! Yep! That is a problem we have over there. It took Barbie and a few others weeks before they could get admin over there to let them back into the forums after they changed their email. I hope it doesn't take you that long to get back to us. You may want to try to directly email admin. The address is: info@blackhairmedia.com Or if you knwo any other addy for them, use it. See if you can contact them any way you can. I think one of the reasons the others actually got back was because we kept pestering admin. I wll email them too and we'll see if we can't accomplish that.

I'm getting my hair done in Curly braids sometime next month, but I'm not sure how long I should keep them in. I was thinking about a month with a rinse every 3 days and a wash about every week, but won't my braids start looking fuzzy is I wash them??
Once it gets to the end of my neck, it snaps right off. What can I do to keep my hair strong and thick so it won't snap off??
I have been wearing braids for years and the trick to healthy hair while wearing them is in your conditoner. I use Aphogee Keratin Reconstructor for the co-wash 3x a month and shampoo 1x a month.
You mentioned a "rinse" that's a great time to co-wash. To keep the fuzzies down only wash in the shower and fight the urge to manipulate the hair like a massage. Run your hand from top to bottom like you were raking something out. Back-n-forth=Fuzzy Wuzzy been there done that.
For added strength mix your braid spray with Infusium. I know the crown and glory says something about both (sorry haven't really read the site) I mix the two and spray morning and night. My hair is stronger in braids because I can add moisture ALL the time without it "froing" up on me. Make sure you spray GOOOOODDD after a wash.
Oh yeah, and if you still you look a little fuzzy get some curl moisturizer, I use wave noveau. Apply it to the braids, tie head up, let it dry. Use it like a gel.

What excatly do I have to do during washing periods to keep the braids in tact?
I am doing the Crown and Glory technique, and even though my hair is growing, there is no length improvement?? There is absolutely NO proof the my hair is growing. Once it gets to the end of my neck, it snaps right off. What can I do to keep my hair strong and thick so it won't snap off??
Hi deexox,
I am new to the forum but not to wearing braids. I am also doing the C&G method since the begining of Jan. Now, to answer your questions:
1) My braids lasted a month. But they were small, although not as small as I use to do them. I shampooed every week using the C&G Method while being very gentle with my braids. After I moisturized with leave-in conditioner and braid spray I would tie my hair right away with a satin scarf to help keep the frizz to a minimum. I tried to stay away from Co-Washed because I was afraid of build-up and I didn't want to wet my hair more than was necessary. Once my braiids started to get real fuzzy, i started to wear it in braid-outs and sometimes dress it up with a scarf. You can check out my albums in my link below. I have pics for every week that I had the braids in.
2) As to keeping your hair strong and from breaking off: You should consider doing deep conditioning and hot oil treatments before you put your braids in. I'm currently doing this for a whole week to strengthen my hair for braids. When your not wearing braids, keep your ends moisturized and wear protective styled as much as possible.
I hope this helps, and I'm sure the lovely ladies here have lots more tips and advices for you.
