Gsmile: Honey how to you install strand extenions on the protac?:D do you just cut the tape in half and put the one piece of tape on to the part?, then stick the pretips on them, and then another tape piece and put some small section of hair over? Or am i just rambling? xD

Moffpoff be curious!<3

Hi Jenny, so glad to see you back! Your websites awsome also.  Was it you who had said they were thinking of getting breast augmentation and if so did you get it done?

Cant wait to see pictures of your hair.

I agree, the Pro-tac is the way to go.  I would do the top weft with just the tape on the underside of the weft, don't fold it over and sandwich it.  I do all my top rows this way, and I don't have to worry about the tape showing.  My hair is only about 5-6" on the top, and it is really fine and thin, this pro-tac is the BOMB!!!   My next install is going to be to melt my pre-tips flat and put them on the pro-tac and install them that way!!

Good luck and can't wait to see pics!!!

Forreal, girl!

It's like "Jenny! Jenny! Install me now!" They're custom wefts in 50mm, just perfect.

By the way, I can just order the Pro-tac direct from my girl AMM, right? (I'm loving the price already; it's *so* reasonable.)

:)

Thanks, girls. That's it--I'm in!

Ordering some Protac and planning to test just a little bit and see how it goes. Then, if all goes well, maybe an install--my first time with wefts ever!--in about a month... (And you know I'll be posting all my emergency clueless questions.)

I've had these beautiful PlastikHaar wefts sitting here forever..... They're
just calling to me....

Try the seamless with sandwiched with the Protac.  That's actually how I was taught to apply these wefts.  I have protac in 1/4" wide strips and you put them on the underside of the wefts and sandwich your hair between them.  It should last about 6 weeks or so.

hey jenny! we miss you!

at times i have had short hair around 3" and found that wefts cover much better than strand-by-strand as long as you do some modification of sherries weft sandwich. i am not a big layerer so i go up pretty high - in doing so as you know you limit your ability to part wherever you want, etc. i guess again the other option might be visible pinchbraids?

good luck!

Jenny....girl! We miss you too! I think the Pro-tac is very safe, probably one of the safest methods Ive used! My hair is extremely thin and brittle and Ive had no damage or breakage from the tapes. But one poster did say she thought the top row she may have some breakage on the hair that sandwiches over the tape. The top row seems to be an issue with the hairs coming off the top of the tape and becoming visable too.. I Used LG this time for my very top row.

How long is the top of your hair Jenny? Im sure that you could avoid the mullet look by adding alot of layers and creative styling!

Hi there chick, I did a woman with super super short hair.  About 2inch all over in blonde 613, I wish I'd taken a picture but I'd been at work all day and did her straight after so I just bloody forgot, anyway I shrinkied all over but when I got to the top section I did proflex about 1/2 inch from her part, basically so there was just enough hair to cover the end of the weft.  I only stuck the tape on the underside of the weft so it was basically hair at the top, then we used some really strong hairspray and just sprayed down that very last 1/2 inch worth of hair so she didn't have it sticking up.  We were both very very pleased.  She came back every 2 weeks just to have the top section moved up so to speak so it didn't become visible until her top layer grew down.  For a diyer I don't think perhaps 20 minutes of work every two weeks is a bad thing to look fab and long again. picture pictures girl !!!! x

Ugghhh, I just can't *take* this short, skimpy hair. It looks ridiculous on me. Grrr....

A question: How long do you think my hair needs to be on top (in the shortest spot) to avoid the mullet effect (bearing in mind that my hair's superstraight and thin)?

Anyone have any breakage with Pro-tac, or is the coast clear?

Because my hair's so short now, I think I'd have to go really high with the wefts. What's the visibility with Protac? (I know that's a vague question and it's probably so different for everyone.)

Dreaming of long, big, beautiful locks, and missing you all!
