It's just regular apple cider vinegar you get from the grocery store.  I use more vinegar than the average person (1 part vinegar to 2 parts water)  but you can alter that to how you like, using less vinegar or more water.  It dosen't strip the hair at all and gets rid of build up.  The smell dosen't stay in your hair either, in case you're wondering.

ACV!  Okay so I've never heard of that.  Please do explain where to get this!

It's apple cider vinegar diluted w/water.  You pour or spray it in your hair and work it through real good then rinse.  This is all I do for clarifying.  I don't use clarifying shampoo's.  I use a lot of products at times and the acv seems to be getting the job done fine for me.

I have it and I use it every other week, and I liked the way it made my hair scalp feel.  I am currently using alot of products on my hair because I am trying narrow down what I my hair likes.

i think clarifying bi-weekly is a little too much. an ACV rinse will not remove silicone build up. it will only remove build up from product build up. so it depends on what you use on your hair. if you rarely use silicones, you might try doing an ACV rinse but if you're trying to prevent or get rid of silicone buildup, you have to use a clarifying shampoo. preferably a gentle one. i use kenra clarifying shampoo or suave clarifying once in a while like once a month

It seems kinda harsh to me.  I just do an acv rinse and it gets the job done w/o stripping the hair.
