Sorry wrong spelling, Taylor Jameson ph#(513) 541-3332, It is in Northside, not the best 'hood I know. But they do quality work but don't charge as much as the fancy spa places in Montgomery and Hyde Park.

I would recomend getting your own hair so you're not paying extra for your stylist to get it.

I know Extensions Plus does a great job matching your color. You send them a bit of your own hair. EP's hair is more expensive but it's good quality.

Yes can you post some pics?  Where do you recommend she can order the hair from?  What type of hair do you have?  I want the best quality of hair i can get. Approximately how much does it cost?  Thanxs

The Pro-tac and the "red" tape are a little bit different.  I am able to wear my hair in just about any way I feel.  My hair doesn't slip either, I can go 6+ weeks with this.  I can also pull the front back and clip it in the back, I wear ponytails that fall in the middle of my head and I can also twist the back up and wear it that way.

Where is your bare spot?  Is it on the top of your head or in the back somewhere?

It really sounds like you could do better, either by yourself or finding a new stylist.

If you want to see some pics of how my wefts are placed in my head and how I can wear my hair, let me know and I will post some.

Oh i have another really important question...........i cant wear my hair up with these extensions.  I can only wear it down or in a ponytail.  The sides of my hair wont go up, cuz of the tape.  Is she placing them too close?  I want to be able to wear different hairstyles...............but really it is impossible with these.  If she places them any further back.............i will have a mullet......and it will just look like hair hanging off the back of my head.

Your right i was thinking the same thing............i dont think she has many clients since she started doing extensions about a year ago.  She is trying to build a clientel at her new salon.  I think she has about 6 clients that have the same as i do.  Is the pro-tac the same kind i am talking about?  She uses a red tape and layer's the extensions through my hair..............pulling tiny amounts of hair over the tape then attaching the extensions.  I have about 8 pieces in hair which does make my hair fuller.................but there is no more room to add even more pieces.  The 2 in the back that she places soooo low ALWAYS fall out in about 2 weeks.  Probably from washing and brushing them.............then i have an open gap that i have to try to hide.........and this is most fusterating.  She told me she was trained to do about 4 different method's of extensions..........but by far these are the most affordable and the least damaging.  I think there are a couple of people on here from Cincinnati.............but one is in Dayton and that is about an hour from me.  With all the problems im having i definately need a closer place.

princess I agree with everything that gsmilie said in her post.

The question I have is this....you say your stylist doesnt want to bond in extensions cause your hair will dread? Let me ask you this, does she do any bonding or fusion methods or is that just that she isnt experienced with those methods or personally dislikes those methods?

What kind of tapes are you using?

I am wearing Pro-tac and have had them in 3 times now for a total of 13 weeks.  Each time mine has lasted 6 weeks before I felt that I needed to re-install them.  My hair is SUPER, DUPER, FINE AND THIN!!  And it is just to my shoulders and angled up to my ears.  I love this method, and I can do it myself.  Quality of hair is a big thing also, I remember you saying that you started out with great hair, but now you think that a switch-a-roo is happening.

If you decide to use fusion, you may not necessarily get "dreads"  It's how you take care of them and how they are applied that determines how well they wear.  Also, if you hair grow really fast, you may need to take out and re-install sooner.

I have worn both GL's and "little plastic tubing attachments", but I feel with the texture of my hair, I get better coverage with the wefts.

I use the clip-ons. I have one weft from ear to ear but my hair is an inch past my shoulders. If you use clip-ons you may need two wefts.

I was using the pretipped hair, fusion, and I had my friend do it. I just showed her how. That shouldn't be damaging if you're careful it's just more maintaince than the clip-ons. I bought the iron and the hair was from His and Hers but after six weeks it turns to crap. Literally I couldn't get a brush through it. Now I know why people spend more on better hair.

Why don't you try fusion, buy the hair and have the girl who chopped off your hair for her test do it.

I have very very fine hair................what type of extensions would be best?  Im not sure of all the different kinds, but i'll try to explain as best i can.  I have had the tape weft kind of hair extensions off and on for about a year.  I HATE THEM!  The back one's fall out and i have to go in for maintenance every 3 weeks!  Doing them myself isnt an option.  I am frusterated!  My hairdresser told me that she wont do the bonded kind cuz my hair will dreadlock and there is the possibility of having to cut all my hair off if that happens.  Also these tape one's just feel nasty after about 2 weeks...........as my hair grows out.  So far these extensions havent ruined my hair at all.........that is another worry i have.  So i was soooo close to trying great lengths at a different salon but way to expensive!!!!  I cant even come close to affording those.  Also the extensions i have right now dont blend that well with my hair...............my hair is pretty short..............to about bottom of ear length.  I want to keep these til my hair grows out..............i had a very tramatic thing happen to my hair and i definately dont look good in short hair!  Taking them out is not an option right now.  Anyone have any good advise???  What kind i can suggest to my hairdresser..............or anyone know of a good place to go in Cincinnati?
