Metalgirl: By "sharp prong tool", I assume your talking about the pointed
edges that slip through the connector to loosen it. They haven't sliced
through my hair. Right now I'm working towards my license so I've only
done take-downs for close to a year now and haven't noticed any
slicing... the tool I use doesn't have sharp edges. The connectors are
made of copper so they don't need to be sharp they just need to be able
to pry open the edges of the connector.
Be very careful with the sharp prong tool that is used to reopen the eurolocs links. It shreads the hair.
I used to love the euroloc system too and was doing that method on all my clients until I started to see the terrible damage the removal tool was doing. Unfortunatelty, because Eurolocs are double crimped, only the pointy prong tool can reopen them.
Looks great! I wear Eurolocs, which I think is very similiar to Hairlocs. I
have VERY fine, VERY fragile hair that has always grown VERY slow. I love
that the Eurolocs doesn't damage my hair, and I agree... I think that my
hair does grow faster with them in.
