It came out great!!!! It was a bit tough putting them in by myself though, but I did a pretty good job of it. Wish I had taken pics. I have thin, fine hair & the D-Lux works just great. The 18/22 color is perfect. Thanks to all of you on this board - I've been researching in lurker mode for months and finally took the plunge! My extensionist is now a busy law student & is no longer doing extensions - so this was my only hope. So far - so good. I'm interested to see what will happen after a few washes.

Welcome to the board Hulamom! I think you will be pleased with the d-lux hair, Ive heard all good reviews so far. No you do not need to wash the strands before installing. Wash your own hair with a clarifying shampoo (Ive even heard of some using dishsoap.) No moisturizers, no conditioners. The main thing is that your hair needs to be in a very *dry* state to get the best bond.
Long time lurker - first time poster! First of all - many thanks to all of you for all the information I've gotten on here. I've had extensions for years - always used the fusion method- most recently GLs, however my extensionist is now in her last year of law school so I'm on my own.
Just purchased D-Lux fusion u-tips & I want to be sure I do all the right things to have a successful install. Couple of questions: Should I wash the fusion strands before installation? Also - what should I wash my own hair with as a preparation for the best possible bonding (very fine, slippery hair). My hair is medium brown with highlights just done yesterday (18/22 D Lux is a perfect match).
