As soon as you get out of the shower, blowdry.  Dont comb your hair out untill dry.

My hair is slippery, oily, and fine.  I use shrinkies to help hold the wefts in.  Otherwise, combing pulls the tape out when my hair is wet, too.  I have to be very gentle with the comb, but when my hair is dry, the tape holds wonderfully.

I have very fine hair and I never comb after washing I let it dry and all the tangles drop out when it is dry, my daughter has the same hair so it is the type of hair and not the condition of it.  When I put the protac in I press it in firmly and then let the rest of the hair drop over it and press down instead of pulling a fine layer down over the tape, I find my hair tangles even when sectioning and you get more hair on the tape like this, holding a dryer on them also helps.

Hey Saucy, don't feel bad, I have this problem with my topmost row.  Because my hair on top is fine and thin, the proflex doesn't have enough hair to grab on to, thus it slips out with a shampoo or even with regular brushing.

Sorry, I don't have a solution to this problem!

Thanks ! I haven't tried dishwashing soap, just clarifying shampoos.

Also they do come out when I am combing, but my hair is so fine and flyaway I can't imagine drying first, but I'll try it.

I just knew someone would have ideas! Thanks!

Maybe don't comb right after shower. I usually dry mine, press them all
down firmly again while I am drying, then comb through once it's all dry.

Or, you can do what I did and just add a touch of glue to the ends of the
tapes to help keep them in place

Try using dish soap to wash your hair with.  No conditioner and dry your hair really well.  Then when you install press the strips in really well, and try heating them with your hair dryer.  Do not wash for at least 24, but try to go 48 hrs, then wash and rinse really well, don't put any conditoner on the tapes, just the ends of your hair.

Hopefully you will get it to stay in better.

Hi All-

I've been experimenting with protac for about a month now and I just can't get it to stay IN my hair. It's good as long as I don't wash- then it just slips right out. I have fairly fine thin straight hair.... I've tried different shampoos, NO conditioner at all, and it just slides out when  I comb out after shampoo.  It's almost like there's nothing holding it in - it just slips out ..... I don't have terribly oily hair, but that's the only explanation I can think of.

Any ideas?
