At Sally Beauty Supply there are two products Clairol Complements and L'Oreal Color Gems.  These are demi permanent, which means that they are forumlated with a lower peroxide and ammonia content, and this makes them less damaging.  Hope this helps.

Generally toners are made for bleached hair and when dealing with orange toners really don't have enough pigment to fix that sort of problem.

You can try this, get a demi in a medium blonde ash, strand test.  You won't have light blonde hair, but I think you'll be able to get a nice medium blonde.

Single process color, unless it's a highlift, won't get you much lighter, without much brassiness, than two levels.  For the future only select dyes that are no more than three levels of your natural color and get a 30 vol. peroxide.  You'd probably want to stick with a dark blonde unless you are willing to bleach to pale yellow and that will get you to a light blonde.

Hope this helps!

Hi Guys,
I need some advice...I colored my hair what was supposed to be a light blonde from a medium brown (I used to have my hair this blonde and never had a problem) and it went really brassy, almost orange.  I've waited a week and hoped the brassiness would fade, but no luck.  I have in-laws coming in two days and really want to fix this, but don't want to dry my hair out too bad, can you suggest what to do?  I saw on one website to use toner from the beauty store, but I'm not sure how to do it and if theres something better!  Can anybody help???
Thanks...
