It stays in the same amount of time. The lady does attach hair pieces and just attach  tracks also. The method is like the malaysian except it is done with the machine.

Thanks, Shiry

Shiry:

I was thinking of buying the cindy cut weaving machine.  It is electric, and so it keeps an even tension on all the threads (3 spools).  I have their video that demostrates the process.

The price on the machine is steep though, just under $600.  There are non electric machines that you can buy for less than $100.  The woman that was demonstrating the method at the Sacramento hair show was using a non electric machine.  The only real difference is that you have to keep moving / readjusting the position on the machine in regards to your client as you weave across the head to keep the proper tension.  I guess with the electric machine, since it keeps the tension for you, you don't need to pick it up and move it as you weave around the client.

I'm sure I'll eventually buy this machine, but just not now.  It would also come in handy for attaching hairpieces.  You can weave around the perimeter of the client's head and then sew on the hairpiece.

Do you know how well this kind of weave stays in on fine, straight caucasian textured hair?

I have actually had the process on my hair and I Have seen the pole. I think it's done with your hair and two peices of thread. I haven't actually seen it done. It feels really flat to the head and stays infor about 4-6 months. There is a lady that does in 20 miles away from me. If you find a distibutor let me know. I was going to puchase the Cindycut machine, but I find that it is the same as braiding and then attaching the hair. With the pole you are attaching the track as you are using the thread. His/Her hair has it but they don't have a video to come with it. That sucks!!!!!

I was wondering if any of our weave ladies  here have ever tried the pole weave (i.e. Christina method, machine weave) method?

I am familiar with the method, but it caught my attention again when I was at the hair show last weekend and there was a lady doing demos on the weave.

Thanks!
