You need a colour remover, don't bleach it yet.
Use Colorfix or Goldwell colour removers, you'll be able to get them
from Sallys as you live in USA. These two removers are gentle on
the hair, not like a lot of others - no one would know you had stripped
the colour out.
PM one of the blondies on this site like Rebekah or KellyH to help you get to your desired blonde.

I was naturally a medium blonde which is probably at least 50% gray now under the color. I started coloring my hair with Redken Shades EQ in Chili Pepper red about a year ago. It seems that a week later my gray is showing and then the resistant gray isn't covering at all. I want to go back to blonde again so my roots will not be as obvious. What should I use to remove the color? I bought Loreal Effasol and the 20 volume peroxide to use, but I'm concerned that it will really damage my hair. I don't want to wait for my roots to grow out because my hair is below my shoulders and the gray roots really look bad and are very noticeable.
