I use a boar brush that was recommended by the stylist to use. I like that one, no snagging or matting or anything. The looper is not for me. It is too rough on my hair.  It like yanks at it.  Itried it several times and am sending it back to them. I don't like it...

Even when I have curls it's gentle on my hair. Unless you have lots of
products it's ripping through. I would just say be very very very careful to
make sure you are combing through (like even finger combing) your roots
at the attachment site if you don't use the looper.

Before I had the looper I just used a reg brush and ended up with tons of
matting and damage that I had to cut out, CHUNKS of my hair out. It was
horrible, I never want to see anybody have to go through that.

That's a good point Paula, my hair is straight so I always used it on there, never on curls.

Just use what feels best for you!

Well I tried it last night several times. I am sending it back  It trys to rip my hair.  I wear mine curly and scrunchy so maybe it cannot get through teh curls and scrunches or something???? i prefer my boar brush. It is more gentiler on my hair.  Maybe if I wore it straight it would work.

Hey!

I absoluetly LOVE my loop brush!

Like Naked Eye said, I couldn't live without it!

I keep it at my house and there have been a couple times at work where I pulled out a standard brush and started brushing my hair and all I can say is OUCH!

In my opinion, there is SUCH a difference and I think my scalp agrees since when I use the looper I don't feel like I am ripping my hair out, lol!

I love it, I couldn't live without it! Sometimes it's too gentle feeling for me,
but I think that's the point! If you haven't used it before and haven't
been finger combing through the roots, it could be "tearing" through the
slightly matted areas.
