QuoteReplyTopic: shampoo alternative? Posted: April 07 2006 at 11:49am
as much time and money as i have put into my hair all of a sudden, im not exactly sure why i have ignored all the information about using a special shampoo on them, but i have until now.
a trip to wal mart and i found Creme of Nature ultra moisturing formula which my girlfriend has used for years she says to prevent breakage....i do remember people on this board saying they used this shampoo, but that was on posts from quite a while back, so.....is this a good one? no sulfate thingys listed on the ingredients. It does have a rather not-pleasant smell, but im sure i will cover that up with my yummy smelling conditioner....oh, and it was less than 3 bucks (cheap, like me !)

I def saw a diff when I started using nonsulfate
shampoo. TMI, but bacne is gone now too! I use Jason products. I like
queen helene's mint julep mask but don't know much about her
poo.
Which shampoo do you use? Jason products?
Is it this?

I've read in most places that your shampoo can not contain any form of sulfur... so everyone usually recommends pureology for their clients. I was browsing through Sally's looking for a cheaper alternative, and found the Queen Helene Mint Julep Shampoo (Concentrate). These are the ingredients. What do you guys think? I have fusion extensions, should I risk it? You're supposed ot mix this with a gallon of water for a heavy gallon, or half for two regular gallons. Has anyone tried this? Do you think its safe?
Ingredients:
Water, Cocamide DEA, Propylene Glycol, Fragrance, Chlorophyllin, D&C Yellow #10, and D&C Green #5
its 3.29, as opposed to the price of pureology. what do you guys think?
