You can also go to Sally's and get Shimmer lights shampoo. I suggest you mix it with a clear shampoo and don't leave it on too long because it can leave purple spots in your hair I had the experience myself I use it now but dilute it with a clear shampoo and it works great. Good luck
Fudge Paintbox in the upright bottle has a great toner called "a whiter
shade of pale" it really tones down gold-brassy looking hair &
leaves hair like silk.
It is a bit pricey but lasts at least 2 to 3 times on medium length hair.
Gee you are all so lucky in the US & UK so many beauty supplies stores!!

Does anyone have suggestions for toning down unwanted gold? I'm naturally a light brown/dark blonde, level 7ish. After a year of no coloring (was so proud of myself), I gave into boredom and decided to have a couple of highlights put in, mostly to kind of blend my roots with the ends. My stylist used color, not bleach, to highlight and although she did them very, very subtle, I am noticing a gold sheen to my hair that I just don't care for. It makes my complexion look dull and I really just don't look good. I know there must be an easy way to tone these down a bit, nothing drastic - maybe a color shampoo or conditioner of some sort? I'm afraid if I start messing with toners I'm going to turn all of my hair an ugly color and then I'll really be depressed
Ah, I wish I could turn back the clock and fight the urge to put stupid color in my hair! I was fine the way I was!
