Hi Santa,
First let me say I'm not a professional, and frankly, I don't know too much about silver hair, or about beards.  But you seem to be willing to try things anyway, so I'll tell you what I'd try if I were going to do it.  I used to dye my own hair white and I can take you through the process, but even then, it was platinum blonde that I got, not snow white.  Since your beard went red with bleach, your silver must be sort of dark, so you will need to use hair bleach to bleach it past the orange stage, and past the yellow stage, until its a very pale yellow (you may have to do it repeatedly). Then use a violet toner to counter the yellow to get it white.  You will have to buy these things at Sally or another brand of beauty supply shop, you won't find what you need at a drugstore and also you can't tell what base are in those boxed dyes.  The person that works at the beauty supply shop should be able to help you choose exact products.  The violet base is important because your hair will be yellow after you bleach it and violet is opposite yellow on the color wheel...its the only way you would have a chance of getting snow white.

So, all that said, let me also say this may burn the heck out of your face...I'd recommend not washing this area of your skin for a day or two before doing this, that way your skin's natural oil will have built up some and help protect your skin a little from the chemicals.  Also, I'm not sure how well this is going to work on coarse beard hair, it may make it very dry, split and frizzy as it does head hair.  It likely will be harsh enough that your beard will not come out smooth and soft...something you may want to consider.

You should try doing a small hidden test strand of your beard first to make sure both that this is going to work, and also that it isn't going to break off your beard hair (I'm sure it took awhile to grow a long beard, so I don't think you'd want to risk that!).  Doing a test strand will also help you adjusting your timing to make sure you don't over or underdo it.

Good luck Santa!

Hello everyone , I am a newbie also !! and I am feeling very strange just asking anyone about this, but  I am a Real Bearded Santa,

Yes that's right !!  I am a business owner, and am a registered member of The Real Bearded Santa's Organization.....and Yes we have lots of members nationwide. You can see me on msn Santa's Hall of Fame site...  I need someone Help!!  Santa needs a snowy while beard.

I am SANTA USA1

OK here goes---I have a long silvery beard and mustasche and want to know how I should go about making it pure white???

I tried bleach , and I looked like IVAN  the red,   scared the daylights out of me!!!  especially since I had to go to work the next morning..I used a Light blond to change the color and then used  Clairols glorious platinum to restore the silvery color ...I have been told to use silply silver by Matrix but that gives me a blueish tint and I tend to look like a smurf grandpa......  does anyone have any suggestions ...

I would like to have to dye it pure white  and cant find a professional in San Antonio Texas that will take on the job of a beard and mustasche, so I guess I will do it myself.... I would appreciate any comments from anyone who knows!!!

Thank you Santa Charlie
