Perhaps the skin on your scalp was still irritated from the bleaching- those chemicals can be very harsh. Or maybe the combination of doing both procedures close together- maybe your scalp needed some time to rest. It sounds bad enough, though, that too much experimenting to see why is probably out of the question- I would not want to have that happen more than once!
That is too bad you have had this painful problem . I hope you can figure out what caused such a reaction.
The hair looked so beautiful. You do look GREAT as a blonde!
One way you can check whether it's the protac is is to put a small piece of tape on completely healed skin for a day or so. If you get the same reaction, rash or blistering... it's the tape! I know that I am allergic to some medical and over the counter adhesive bandages and tape(I get blisters and scarring) but not others.
Protac is so easy and you can really get a lot of hair in, but it not my favorite. My head gets too hot and the sweat and extra oil breaks down the tape too quickly.
I have som problems with atopic eczema, but I had no problems with keratin and now this have happened twice in a row with Pro-Tac.
I went to the hairdresser and had my hair bleached. My scalp reacted to this, and were sore, dry and started to flake off (my skin is very sensitive all over). I was going to a party, so I installed protac and this hair the day after i got my hair bleached. I took it out a couple of days later, to get the flaky bits out and there was pus.
I did let it heal, and then installed i again this saturday. Then it started to itch, and I scratched myself while I was thinking about something else. After this the pus started again, and got worse over the next 24 hours. So, I think I“m done with Pro-Tac .

Sorry to hear about your reaction, are you allergic to latex products? could it be something that was put on the hair? Was it site spacific? Could you have gotten a bug bite that got infected? I don't know, just trying to trouble shoot.

Sassy: The blond is Boheme from YHS by Kristen. The darker brown is some danish hair, that tangles and look dry .
Well I hadto take the hair out tonight. I think that I am allergic to Pro-tac. I was telling you about the pus from my scalp. Tonight I gave in, after the hair was wet all the time. My husband looked at it, after I washed my hair and dryed it with cold air from the hairdryer, and it looks like all my skin is gone in an area on the left side of my hair . And it hurts .
Its a danm shame, I loved this stuff. I took me an hour to install and 20 min. to remove. Well, back to individual strands, and hurting arms *sigh*

Going to a confirmation with my family I curled it up (the above pictures was actually later this day, coming home and brushed it out. That allso explain the tired face on the above pic ).
Well .. I had to try it out, just once in my life .
Installed with Pro-Tac.
Btw. have any of you experienced any allergic reaction? On the left side of my head, I scratched my self a bit between to rows, and now there is pus coming out of my scalp, and making the Pro Tac all wet. Its really disgusting ..
