it never occured to me before that i could make those intricate hairdos of yore!  now to find some intricate celtic hairdos!

maybe you can do a strawberry blond (if your blond, mahogany if you're brunette) and add a few strands of fuschia into it?  you could painstakingly (but so worth it!) blend fuschia to the weft using itty bitty bonds or braids?  that should be undetectable unti you get in the sun.  when i worked in a cube farm, i had dark-darak blue highlights and no one knew unless i was in the sunlight or had a light pointed to my head.

I looooove the last one.  Think you're right on about using a few tracks of wefts.  I wonder whether it would be pushing too much to try and pull that off at work!

the pinchbraids would help me blend my hair to the weft hair.  i don't know how to cut my own hair and i'm afraid i'd mess it up, but i can add more to my own for the coverup!

#1 looks like it would need to be strand, at least the top row, since it goes so high on the head.  they almost look like clip-ins, now that i'm staring.
#2 is actually feathers on a chord, but the color placement looks like i could put the PH on the ends of the protac (near my hairline) on each row, and it should look like that....
#3 could be accomplished with wefts of color and a few strands on top?
#4 strands around the hairline (have to keep the bangs/fringe down, tho) and on the bottom row
#5 strands of color every 1-2" on the weft
#6 never pull the hair up, strands on the perimeter, invisible/pinchbraid at the part
#7 full wefts of color on the bottom 2-3 rows, from the top of the ear down.

is that right, ladies?  or am i just way off?

They look great don't they. I especially love the first and last.

Can't help with the pinchbraids but great inspiration. They'd look great on a website!

Hopefully this thread will start a slew of inspirational pics/links.  And if you know how it was done, please chime in!

I'm going to be installing a weft/pretip in 20" #2 wawa and PH petrol grun with protac and tiny pinchbraids along hairline and parts soon. These are my inspirational pics.  If you know how I can do something close to these using protac/pinchbraids, please let me know!

PS: i got a new digicam so i can take plenty of pics!
