never get within 20 feet of trimco, aye aye! i was looking at PH 1st (so many good reviews, how could i not?) and the petrol green looks like a blue-green teal-turqoise. but when i wet to put in my order, i saw this for shipping and got spooked:
US Purolator Courier, 2006-05-05: $49.93 Xpresspost USA, 2006-05-12: $19.26 Expedited US Commercial, 2006-05-17: $12.89 Expedited US Business, 2006-05-17: $11.82 Small Packets Air, up to 2 weeks: $5.95 Small Packets Surface, 2 to 4 weeks: $4.65
i've already spent close to my $ limit on hair, any more and i'll be living on taco bell when i'm on vacation. also, i'm leaving on the 17th and would like the hair in for a week for adjustment and fixes before i leave.
Oh yeah, and order fomrt he North American shop for PH, if you're
concerned about shipping time/price. It's from Canada, and Airmail form
here to there ios pretty quick and cheap.
Trimco is, in my opinion, worse than $3 a bag kanekalon silky braid
from the corner beauty supply store. I wore a full head of different
synths, and found that the PH, Dome, and ProStyles performed the best,
while the Trimco and Connect-2-Hair were the worst.
i'm hoping for a dark/vivid blue/green or teal color and i don't need much just a few streaks. i only need 2 feet at the most. i can even blend my own if you have blue and green. or either, really. i just like deep, intense colors that don't get lost in my dark hair.
I've got maybe 8 or so wefts of the Headrazor and they vary in how they feel - while light pink is nice, it is a little rougher than the darker colors like the dark purple and black which feel like silk. Solid colors have very little shedding from the weft while *every* blended color I have loses some hair. I wouldn't wear the blended without weft reenforcement.
Ordering now probably won't get you the hair by the 17th unless you touch base with the girls first and ask that the hair be sent immediately. If you have a color in mind that you want, I may have it. I'm in the U.S. and can ship out to you right away.
i'm installing it myself w/ a combo of protac and invisible pinchbraids
and i want to have as much time before i leave (on the 17th) as i can
in case anything slips or i need to order anything else.
what I'm wearing: 1 pkg 18" DLux SS #2 and protac

i've not used headrazor nor the trimco hair (sold by HP), but if you do a boardsearch here i remember amm saying complementary things about the headrazor - i'm not sure if she wore it, though.
i remember multiple threads here too about trimco: i think the overall opinion was that plastikhaar and dome were the best monofibre in terms of quality and lifespan. i myself have used plastikhaar on a couple occasions and with a little tweaking i really love it. when i ordered from the PH north american site i believe i got the regular shipping and it took a week, which surprised me.
are you getting your hair put in in san fran? i go to a hairpolice stylist (heather in atl) who carries synth in her shop, or you can walk in with your own. if you are getting the hair installed by someone perhaps they can guide you also, or may have some in stock.
How's the hair quality for the synthetic, colorful hair found at Hairpolice and HeadRazor? Any recommendations for colorful synth hair in the US?
I know, I know, Sara and Plastikhaar is the ambrosia of synth hair, and
I'd love to go w/ PH but their N.Amer shipping is almost a month for
basic or pricey for faster, and their Euro shipping is cheaper, but
still slow for what i can afford before my vacation to SanFran.
