QuoteReplyTopic: weave for growth?!? Posted: May 09 2006 at 9:41am
that's what i had in mind.
i didn't want to touch the hair on a daily basis I just wanted it to
grow while being strenghthened and moisturized without daily styling.
Also the weave would give me an additional 3 months or so without having a relaxer. It's already been more than 2 months.
I hope this works for me

well i have been wearing a sewn in weave for almost 3 years now and it helps a lot. my hair has growm very well and seems stronger and fuller, i guess just becuz wasnt messin with it everyday ya know?? for the first month or so, it is easy to keep yur braided hair moisturized, but after that i just saw 'screw it' and leave it alone until i take it out. mine last for about 4 months at a time,so i only relax when i take it out. overall i give weaves an A+

Thanks___Keisha.
You spell your name the same way that I do.
But braids aren't really my thing. I would like to try them later
but for summer I was hoping to use the full head weave...

Whenever I want to give my hair an extra boost I always get braids. If you take proper care of your hair and your braids I think everything should go well. It always work for me. Give it a try! Good Luck!

I am trying to grow out my hair it is almost APL and my goal is BSL.
Does anyone have any good experiences of using a weave as a
protective style? I am hoping that if I treat the braided portions with
reconstructors and deep conditioners that it will remain healthy with minimal breakage.
What do you guys think?
