hairlocs are similar to pro shells and also protubes, i actually like the protubes that amm carries they are a heavier copper and close very flat. what ever u were to purchase from Amms store, shrinkies, you cannot go wrong, she has awesome products, customer service and i personally have never had any problem with her, or anything she has ever carried.

Are hairlocs more similar to protubes/proshells or microrings?
Sorry to hear you dont like them :( i would agree with htowngirl and TanglesRC in saying that its probably because theyre not installed properly. If youre not happy with them go back to the salon and tell them. I know its a hassle, but most salons rely on their return customers so they should try to work something out for you.
In regards to your itchy scalp, some hairlocs can have nickel or copper which cause allergic reactions. Usually it is recommended that they do a test strand to make sure youre not allergic to either. If your scalp is still itchy after a few days and its starting to get red patches then you are probably having a reaction-and youll have to get them taken out. Sometimes extensions need time to settle in your hair though, so itchiness is quite common because the scalp needs to adjust to the foreign materials. Give it a few days, and if its still itchy and doesnt seem to be going away then go back and see the salon. If you are allergic to them, i think the majority of people will react strongly (very itchy red scalp) in the first 24 hours.
its all placement my dear- when i install u cannot see them at all- how many strands did u get and have u called your stylist to see if she can move some>?
the locs are made of copper.

I have Hairlocs and I love them!! I have had them in since March 28th. My Hairlocs are really virtually undetectable. You can't see them and you only know they are there if you run your fingers thru my scalp. I am always complimented on my hair and I never offer the information that I have extensions (unless it is a friend or family). I wear my hair is many updo and ponytails styles all the time.
I don't see any of my extensions (unless I part my hair and deliberately show someone) and I have 200 installed. Since March 28th, I have only lost 3 extensions and that was during a shampoo.
I hate hear that you don't like them. Maybe it is the way your hairlocs were installed or the thickness of your hair...Just some thoughts..I am not a hair stylist.
Hi I just got Euroloc hair extensions put in yesterday and I'm not that thrilled with the way they came out. First off, the extension specialist I went to told me they would be virtually undetectable, even up close. She even told me that hairlocs were they most natural looking method out there...But that is a big crock of sh*t because you can totally see the little tube thingies in my hair if I move my hair the slightest bit!
I did some research before I went and really had my heart set on getting Great Lengths but didn't have $1,500-2000 to spend...so I went ahead and decided to get the Hairlocs because they were only $700, but now I'm starting to regret it Also, does anyone know what material hairlocs are made out of because I read somewhere that they may cause allergic reactions in some people...My scalp feels kind of itchy and irritated so now I'm all freaked out...So if there's any hairloc people out there., please respond and let me know your experiences with them...
