I Think thicker braids are best especially for the sides of your hair, and since your hair is not short braids should be at least braided to cover your ends if you decide to get micros. Try individuals or cornrows. Mircos are stylish I like them.
i will start braiding my hair in order to grow it out, starting next month. the crown and glory technique is a wonderful choice to start with www.growafrohairlong.com CHECK IT OUT asap before you braid your hair. the site will tell you how long to keep in the braids and how thin to get them.
My hair is thick as well, when i notice my new growth, nay is thicker so i dont really see the lenght in inches until after my lye relaxer.

first off, I'm new here, and would like to take this opportunity to say hello to everyone. Hi, everyone!! and secondly, I've been thinking about getting micro-braids. I never knew that there was so much thought in getting them! As of right now, I'm just confused. I did some research and found that they work best on short hair. My hair sits right on my shoulder & it it's a little longer in the back. Is that short enough? My hair is pretty thick, is that a good or bad thing? How long should I keep them in? I don't want my hair to break, what should I do?? any help would be appreciated . thanks.
