I think professional brands are better than drugstore brands to be honest.  Drugstore brands can give really uneven results or leave some really dark hair the same - but if you get it done at a salon it's perfect.

I already know about volume strengths, but some members have posted that they have greater success with particular brands...just wondering what those were

HighLift Bleach? Well bleach is bleach...the strength and lifting power of bleach comes when you mix in the developer with the powder bleach. Typically if your going to bleach your hair on the scalp use only 20 volume developer with powder bleach and for off the scalp use 30 volume bleach...don't get it on your scalp or chemical burns could result and never! NEVER EVER! Use 40 Volume and Bleach....it could seriously damage or cause breakage of the hair at or near the scalp.

If you don't know what your doing...goto a salon and let a professional do it.

Any recommendations for a bleach (powder or whatever) that will lift darker hair more easily?  I have med brown hair that I dye light blonde, but it sucks having to double process it, and sometimes the newly touched-up roots still tend to be slightly darker.  Any products you bleachers like and can suggest?  Thanks for the help..
