Hi Falloutgirl, I'm not sure I understand your goal with respect to the color remover... so I'm going to babble a bit! ;) If you're trying to correct the strange color with the highlights, I don't think the color remover will help. The color remover will take out the dye, but the highlighted hair doesn't have dye left in it. It sounds like you've accurately assessed the situation - uneven color because of the highlights. If you can... it really would be best to see a professional. If that's not an option and if your hair is healthy, is it possible for you to "spot-fix"the hightlights? By that, I mean could you even out your haircolor by hitting the areas of those strands that are orange-ish without the areas that did reach the right color of blonde? (Of course, if you did a lot of highlighting that idea may be unrealistic.) Not sure if this helps, but good luck!

Ok heres my story.....I started getting grey hair at 16 years old and I started coloring to cover it not many years later. Now I am 30 and I am sure that my hair under all this color is a whole lot of grey. Anyway I over colored my hair and now it is a very dark brown. So to lighten it alittle I bought a highlight kit. Which I have done before and it worked out great. Ummm but this time well it looks stupid. The highlights are more like orange lights that peek out when they choose too. Apparentaly I did not apply it evenly. So now I am thinking of using a hair color remover kit by L'oreal. But after a strand test and a re tint with a medium golden brown and of course all the bad talk about haircolor removers....I am not so sure. The strand test came out different colors of course most likily from the highlights. So my hair is pretty dry and very thick, course and right under my bra strap. Is there any one who can help me fix my hair?
Thank you :)
