Thanks again! Loved the install and it held up very well. I was extremely pleased with how this performed given the long length.

malibu: 27" inches! Can you believe it?!

jeepgirl: RK Hair. It is the single drawn remy.

gsmilie: Mica is a natural mineral that is mined. I've used it for years in soaps in place of synthetic color. It has a lot of pearly luster to it and a very, very small bit of powder goes a long way. A 1oz pot will last a long time and can be used for hair glitz and/or body shimmer. You can add a pinch to your favorite lotion or anything you'd like. I'll put just a fingertip amount in hair cream and scrunch in. The sparkle will transfer to clothes and skin so be prepared to shimmy and shine if you wear some in the hair. :)

http://brambleberry.com/micas.html -- Brambleberry sells 1oz pots for about $4.50 and they also have sample packs of a variety of colors for about $8.

Has it been 6 weeks already? How time flies when you're rockin' big hair.

Installed with Pro-Tac, #8 underlayer and #12 over the top at 27" shown both straightened and with a curl and has performed well above my expectations for almost 8oz installed at this extremely long length.

This is the RK SINGLE DRAWN REMY and not the double drawn that received the hearty "hayyyyl no!" from the group. There is ZERO matting and little to no shedding. There are, however, split ends now. There were none when I started out. This hair does not hold curl with heat rollers so I use the curling iron on it. As such, I've torn it up some on the lower length. When brushing, little pieces are starting to break off so I won't do a repeat install. After a trim, it would be great to wear at 18 - 20".

Care regimen; 2-3 washes per week rotating Pureology Pure Volume and Neutrogena Triple Moisture 'poos. Condition with Neutrogena Triple Moisture or Feria. A spritz of Velvasil here and there. After Party Smoothing Cream applied sparingly every night and then loosely bound. I also take the smoothing cream and add a teaspoon of copper mica and scrunch in for amazing sheen and POP!

Overall experience:
