Wanting thicker hair....

    Hi everyone,

I have stumbled upon this board a few days ago and have been doing a of reading but I do have a fe questions.

I dirty blonde hair that is a little bit past my shoulders, I have a lot of hair but it is on the thin side. My hair always looks limp a few hours after I wash it and I have been thinking of hair extensions to give it a thicker appearance.
If I simply wanted to have thicker hair how many strands are normally used?

Also does one need to do the blending? My friend told me that blending is done with a razor, if I were to take the extensions out after 2-3 months wouldn't my hair be very choppy?

Also, are hairlocs always done with that little metal ring? I saw someone who had clear rings, is that possible?

By the way, I am in West L.A, any suggestions on who to go to, I am willing to drive a little distance for someone who is skilled.
